Tony is just an ordinary man living a drab, ordinary life. Mid-life crisis finds him questioning the socially imposed moral imperatives of being "a good man". In his instinctive quest for the truth, he visits funerals and bars, befriends policemen and gangsters, and explores all Estonian post-industrial society has to offer. Whether one labels it an allegorical tale, a symbolic poem or simply a frank depiction of the decline of middle-class culture through the Estonian paradigm, Veiko Οunpuu brings together influences from Béla Tarr, Sergei Parajanov and Roy Andersson to deliver an avant-garde gem.
