In "Sister", Simon supports his Swiss household and his 25-year-old sister by stealing from wealthy holidaymakers at a nearby ski resort. Problem is, Simon is only 12 and all his sister cares about is looking good and dating all the wrong men. Without any support whatsoever, Simon – a touching amalgam of maturity and childishness – is fighting for survival. But how long can he keep this up before the pressure wears him thin? Winner of the Silver Berlin Bear Special Award, "Sister" is a powerful drama that can break your bones with the sheer force of its humanity, although the chills ‘n thrills of a well-conceived plot twist aren’t lost on Meier either.
