38-year-old Dennis is built like a house. Things take a turn for the worse when Dennis takes a trip to Thailand, causing friction in the mother-son dynamic. Mads Matthiesen expands on his own short "Dennis" – winner of the Best Short Film Award at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival - making a moving feature on the pains of belated maturity. Gritty, affectionate and emotionally compelling, "Teddy Bear" tells the story of a man who never escaped his mother’s influence until he discovered true love and realized that breaking away is just as much a part of life as sticking together.
