How can a totally obscure band with a mere two records become part of rock'n'roll mythology? We're talking about none other than Slint, one of the strangest phenomena in the history of music. The title of the film is the first track off their second album "Spiderland" (1991) and the director is music video veteran Lance Bangs, who has worked with everyone, from Sonic Youth and R.E.M, to Nirvana and Arcade Fire.

In "Breadcrumb Trail", Bangs tries to solve the riddle of this phantom band, who managed to influence the music scene in a very unique way (see latter-day acts like Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and more), although very few people actually knew of its existence at the time.

One band, one mystery record and a handful of live shows come together, in an effort to provide some answers. One of the greatest mysteries in rock'n'roll history is finally revealed. Or maybe it's just further concealed from view. Either way you choose to look at it, this is a unique experience for music lovers, whose affection goes above and beyond the simple act of listening.
