Exclusively told from the female perspective, Per Gavatin and Andreas Öhman's film comes from chilly Sweden in order to refresh contemporary romantic drama conventions. Their subject-matters range from the thin line between passion and obsession, all the way to the experiential connection between past and present, the urgent need for reference points and the desire to relive our best moments.

In this deeply structured, almost existential context, "Remake" toys with audience conceptions, as it introduces them a thoroughly unconventional love triangle. N.S.
