The claustrophobic thriller of the year! A punk band play a gig in a backwoods Oregon roadhouse, which turns out to be the hangout of a violent white- supremacist gang. After the end of the gig, the band members witness a gruesome murder. While the sadist club owner and his henchmen want to eliminate all witnesses and a small party of armed civilians is planning a bloody entrance, the band members barricade themselves in the backstage area, trying to buy themselves some time until they can find a way to escape and avoid the imminent massacre. Wandering punks and blood-thirsty Nazis come up against each other in a high-octane thriller. Two years after he won the FIPRESCI award at Cannes with the "Blue Ruin", director Jeremy Saulnier returns with a fascinating movie hybrid that pays homage to genre favorites like "Mad Max" and "Night of the Living Dead".
