The angy coming-of-age story of a juvenile delinquent, featuring a revealing performance by newcomer Rod Paradot, that opened this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Malony is under the supervision of a juvenile judge (Catherine Deneuve) and a dedicated special educator (Benoît Magimel), constantly flirting with the razor’s edle, illicit behavior and, ultimately, punishment.

Newcomer Rod Paradot delivers a phenomenal performance as Malony, a marginalized juvenile delinquent who steals cars at 18 and questions all forms of authority, having spent most of his life going in and out of juvie. His only allies within this short-sighted system are an experienced juvenile judge and a dedicated special educator, played by Catherine Deneuve and Benoît Magimel respectively.
