Petulia

Archie, a San Francisco doctor, is in the process of getting a divorce and putting his life back in order when Petulia, a glamorous socialite, storms into his life. Intense, passionate and idealistic, Petulia has had her share of unhappiness, as she struggles to escape from her abusive husband. The plot takes an unexpected twist when Archie discovers Petulia beaten senseless in his apartment. Making extensive use of the flashback technique and having two brilliant actors at his disposal, Richard Lester directs what is considered his last great film and an iconic movie of the 60s.
