Do You See Colors When You Close Your Eyes?
Two years after Jonathan’s death, his partner, Christian, and his twin brother, Michael, sneak into his (their) parents’ house and steal the urn containing his ashes. They then start a road trip, scattering his ashes in places that the unfortunate young man did not have the chance to see and visit. During their wandering, the two men develop a special bond, which turns into romantic attraction, while at the same time trying to understand a part of Jonathan’s personality they didn’t have the time to get to know. The Young twins direct this low-budgeted but highlycharged love story with many layers and multiple moral extensions. Shot in just a week, “Do You See Colors When You Close Your Eyes”, with its captivating cinematography and framing that’s fully utilized to highlight the plot, tells the tragic story of a love triangle, where one of the participants is already dead.
