Declaration of War

Roméo and Juliette met at a party and instantly fell in love. They’re enjoying life with their little son without anticipating anything. Young Adam, however, will suddenly be diagnosed with a brain tumor and the couple will start a battle for survival – they will declare an unofficial war. In her second full-length film, Valérie Donzelli writes, directs and stars in her son’s real-life story, gripping Cannes with her optimism and sense of humour, in a film that, despite its subject matter, remains unexpectedly feelgood.
