Amnesia Diaries (work in progress)

A woman discovers some forgotten Super 8 movies shot between 1985 and 1986 in Greece, Australia and Paris, when she was still a student. The films resurface in 2010, a period of personal loss that happens to coincide with the deepening of the credit crunch all over Europe.

A woman discovers some forgotten Super 8 movies shot between 1985 and 1986 in Greece, Australia and Paris, when she was still a student. The films resurface in 2010, a period of personal loss that happens to coincide with the deepening of the credit crunch all over Europe. Revisiting her oxidized diaries, she suddenly finds herself longing to add new memories to this highly personal work. Using a new digital medium, she records daily life at a time of social unrest, spanning the years 2010, 2011, up until February 2012. Empty private dwellings once occupied by the dearly departed coincide with another kind of vacancy: empty public spaces, empty pockets and hollow lives. Her forgotten diaries make their way to Australia where her friend Peter awaits. To be continued...
