Cheatin'

Staying true to his handmade aesthetics, the king of indie animation embraces a multitude of cinematic references, without sacrificing his sense of humor, his unbridled imagination and his flair for bizarre plot twists, in this personal anthem to falling in love.

Two strangers meet in a fateful bumper car collision and fall madly in love. Jake and Ella seem to be the happiest couple in the world, until another woman drives them apart with her deception and lies, leading Jack astray. Ella struggles to figure out what happened, determined to win back the love of her life.

Although this storyline is particularly familiar, Bill Plympton surprises audiences by delivering one of his most mature feature to date, after a 5-year hiatus.
