Committed

From Cyprus with love comes this combination of road movie and romantic comedy, proving that passion for film can overcome every obstacle.

From Cyprus with love comes this combination of road movie and romantic comedy, proving that passion for film can overcome every obstacle. Just like South African-Cypriot Stelana Kliris did, who not only wrote and directed this film, but worked tirelessly to get it funded through crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, convincing 125 people to help make her dream come true.

The result was a beautifully shot romantic comedy with over 20 different locations around Cyprus about the chance encounter of two very different people who seem to be dealing with the same problem. George has commitment issues, but so does "the Bride". The two will meet cute when George spots her on the side of the road, wandering around in her wedding dress.

Their road trip will reveal a lot about themselves and what they're trying to escape and, despite the fact that none of them is good with relationships, they will form an unlikely bond. T.Th.

    Red Rose

    Red Rose

Within the historical context of the "Green Revolution" Sepideh Farsi recounts a love story between a politically complacent middle-aged man and a young activist, blending scripted scenes with devastating onthe- ground footage captured on cell phones during the unrest.

    You're Sleeping Nicole

Build on a loose, episodic structure with consistently stunning cinematography, a light-hearted mood and a wonderful turn by Julianne Côté as the titular Nicole, the hidden gem of the last Cannes Film Festival is casting humorous looks at the first inevitable responsibilities that come with being an adult.

    The Heart Machine

    The Heart Machine

Ingeniously adopting the mechanisms of a mystery-thriller, Zachary Wigon's debut is an insightful and timely commentary on the contemporary social media frenzy.
