Machine Gun Preacher

The true story of Sam Childers, an ex-drug dealer of the 90s, who rediscovers his faith in God and is turned into an activist fighting for underage children. Shaken by the massacres in Sudan, Childers arrives at an orphanage, takes hundreds of kids under his wing and protects them from the army’s claws. By restoring peace in their souls, he is atoned for his former dishonest life and gradually finds the serenity he was always looking for. Marc Forster, director of the Oscar-winning “Monster’s Ball” and the James Bond film “Quantum of Solace”, presents a human drama in the spirit of “Hotel Rwanda”, guiding Gerard Butler to a performance headed for the Oscars.
