Syria delivers the last Nazi in the world to the Israeli authorities to be put on trial, but Danni Hoffman, the millionaire son of a Holocaust survivor, has his own reasons to demand Schultz’s punishment, worried justice will not be done. So he puts a contract out on his head, instigating a frantic manhunt led by Israeli military officers, Russian killers and other bizarre characters.

Delivering killer one-liners, Folman’s characters often look like they just stepped out of a Jim Jarmusch movie or “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” for that matter, proving the Israeli director is perfectly capable of balancing extremities in style.
