The outrageous potpourri of local characters turns into a breeding ground for hilarity, where even the slightest victory can tip the balance.

12 years ago, Alice left Ray high and dry, taking their young daughter Abbie with her. Now, his ailing father wants to see his granddaughter before he dies and Ray is forced to return to his hometown.

His ex-wife is now married to his cocky gym teacher and teenage Abbie (Maisie Williams, who plays Aria in "Game of Thrones") has evolved into a promising cross-country runner, who follows her stepfather's eccentric methods in her quest for a gold medal. The co-existence of a broken family is never an easy task, never mind their reunion.

The outrageous potpourri of local characters turns into a breeding ground for hilarity, where even the slightest victory can tip the balance. A variety of unhealthy obsessions, dysfunctional eccentricities, alliances and hostilities propel the main character into a place where even the best of intentions can spell disaster. N.S.
