Dinosaur 13

The unbelievable case of "Dinosaur 13" is the fascinating story of the trials and tribulations the protagonists of one of the greatest moments in history had to go through.

In the heat of the summer of 1990, in the barren expanses of South Dakota, paleontologist Peter Larson and his team uncover the 13th Tyrannosaurus Rex. The significance of the fossil was not owed to its rarity but to the fact that it was the first of its kind to be found almost intact.

For Larson and his colleagues, it was without a doubt the discovery of a lifetime. Soon enough, it would turn into their biggest headache, as an endless battle of legal ownership and bureaucracy broke out, eventually putting the scientists in the doc.

The unbelievable case of "Dinosaur 13" is the fascinating story of the trials and tribulations the protagonists of one of the greatest moments in history had to go through.

The FBI, competing business interests, sly landowners, journalists and the Court Authorities made sure of that. But more than anything else, Todd Douglas Miller's film is a tribute to absurdity, which can only be rivaled by human stupidity. N.S.
