The Infinite Man

Somewhere between "Groundhog Day" and "Return to the Future", Hugh Sullivan's debut is the most ingenious rom com of the year, putting a welcome spin on a tired genre with an equally hilarious and sophisticated take on science fiction.

Dean and Lana want to celebrate their anniversary by reliving their last trip together, down to the last detail. Unfortunately, when they go back to that once-bustling motel, they realize it's a ghost town.

Nervous inventor Dean tries to use a brain-recording gizmo to capture pleasure-inducing feelings, but the couple is interrupted by the arrival of Lana's macho ex-boyfriend who convinces her to leave with him.

A year later, Dean - still in the same motel - asks Lana over to show her his latest invention: a machine that can transport them back to their last encounter, where they can spy on themselves so they don't make the same mistakes.

Somewhere between "Groundhog Day" and "Return to the Future", Hugh Sullivan's debut is the most ingenious rom com of the year, putting a welcome spin on a tired genre with an equally hilarious and sophisticated take on science fiction. K. Th.

Only problem is, Zoe is "the other woman" and James has agreed to meet his official girlfriend at a wild party filled with drugs, group sex and rock'n'roll, where they will while away their final hours.
