The Damned were the first British punk band to release a single, a full LP and tour the US. But contrary to The Clash and The Sex Pistols, they never cashed in on their fame. “Lemmy” director Wes Orshoski tells the story of one of the most influential punk bands of all time.

The first British punk band to release a single, the immortal "New Rose" in 1976, the Damned was the first of their generation to release a full LP and tour the US, leaving a huge legacy behind. But contrary to The Clash and The Sex Pistols, they never cashed in on their fame – and not necessarily because of bad timing. Wes Wes Orshoski, who first garnered attention thanks to the "Lemmy" documentary, returns to his musical roots, using archival material, interviews and more recent performances to tell the story of one of the most influential punk bands of all time - and one of the longest surviving groups of their genre that's stuck together for more than four decades now.
