All young people need somebody bad to look up to and I hope I can do that for tonight. Sort of a filth elder, if you will.? Take the irreverent director John Waters in high spirits, put him on stage and get ready for the best 90 minutes of your life. Jeff Garlin doesn’t really need to do much except let the legendary Pink Flamingos and Hairspray director loose to deliver a side-splitting and ingenious rant on, well, everything: good and evil, sexual and cinematic normality (whatever that means) ? nothing is safe from the sharp tongue of an one-in-a-million boy that grew up to become an one-in-a-million director. This Filthy World was presented in the Panorama section of the 2007 Berlin Film Festival.
