In 70s Argentina a well-to-do lawyer tries to hide the secret which connects him to the death of a stranger. An unconventional detective investigating the case reveals a community where everyone remains silent but no one is innocent. One of the most promising directors of Argentinian cinema digs into his country's past with a potentially minor classic political thriller.

In ‘70s Argentina, an unknown man arrives at the restaurant of a provincial city. Soon and without an obvious reason, the man starts offending Claudio, a famous and respectable lawyer, but the patrons kick him out. Later the same night, Claudio and his wife are on their home in their car when the mysterious stranger appears in front of them, determined to get revenge. What happens that night is completely conceald until an unorthodox detective, investigating the case, bring the shocking truth to light, the truth about a society where everyone keeps their mouth shut but nobody is innocent.

One of the most promising directors of Argentinian cinema snoops around his country’s past with this potentially minor classic political thriller. L.K.

BENJAMIN NAISHTAT
Born in 1986 in Buenos Aires, Benjamin Naishtat started studying cinema at Buenos Aires University and pursued his studies in France. His work includes fiction, as well as experimental works: Historia del mal (2011), screened in Rotterdam and in several international exhibitions.
