INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION JURY 

NADAV LAPID (President) 

Nadav Lapid, a film director and a writer, born in Tel Aviv. His films won prestigious awards in Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, as well as more than 100 international awards. Numerous retrospectives of his films were held in Toronto, Moscow, Paris, Harvard and Oxford Universities. His novel, Keep on Dancing, was translated to several languages. Nadav worked as a football journalist, a wedding cameraman and a security agent. 

LOUIZA ARKOUMANEA 

Theatre critic for the weekly free press publication and websites Lifo and lifo.gr, born and based in Athens. In the same capacity she wrote for the newspaper 'To Vima' (until 2016). In the theatre she has worked as a dramaturg or dramaturgical consultant. She studied at the Athens School of Philosophy and holds a Masters in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from Yale University. 

ARNAUD VALOIS 

Arnaud Valois studied acting at Cours Florent. Arnaud went on to play in A French Gigolo by Josiane Balasko and Girl on the Train by André Téchiné. After a few years break from acting, Arnaud Valois came back to the silver screen in 2017 with BPM by Robin Campillo. A role for which Arnaud won Best Actor newcomer at the Lumières Awards 2018 and was nominated for Best Actor newcomer at the César 2018. 

ALEXIS JUNCOSA 

In 2003, French cultural journalist, Alexis Juncosa, moved to Luxembourg to take up the post of editor-in-chief of the country's largest independent publisher. He joined Luxfilmfest a few months before its first edition in 2011 and has since held the position of Artistic Director. He’s currently the Chair of Europa Film Festivals’ network. 

DIANA ELBAUM 

Since her beginning in advertising and then film production, Diana Elbaum has produced a vast number of films. Most of them were showcased and awarded in major festivals.  Her films cover a large sample of genre and come from all horizons and cultures. She is known for her amazing skill for working with renowned talents. Diana set up her first company, Entre Chien et Loup, in 1989, whereas in 2017, she opened her new company, Beluga Tree, in association with the Caviar Group. In 2009, she received the European Film academy award for best producer. 

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY JURY 

STAVROS PSΙLLAKIS (President) 

Documentarian. Born in Chania, Crete, 1954, he is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens. He studied film at the Hadjikou Film School (Athens) and he continued his studies in anthropological documentary filmmaking at the Ateliers VARAN (Paris). He has been the creator of many films, such as ‘The man who disturbed the universe’, ‘There was no other way’ (GFA Award), ‘METAXA listening time’, ‘Olympia’, ‘Short Stories Roma’, ‘The inside light’, ‘For No Reasons Meetings with Yorgos Maniatis’, ‘Debt, ‘Farewell: The Memory of the Land’. 

DORA ANAGNOSTOPOULOU 

Dora Anagnostopoulou was born in Athens and is a journalist. She has worked in public television, initially in film programming and the presentation of film zones and then presented cultural programmes and the main news bulletin. He currently works at Mega where he presents the midday news bulletin and the investigative show Mega Stories. 

MARINA DANEZI 

Marina Danezi is a producer and director best known for Sam Roma: Eimaste Tsigganoi (2014), Scavengers’ Union (2011) and The Trap (2011). Born in Athens, she studied mathematics at the University of Athens and drama at Delos, Demetra Hatoupi’s school. She is also the artistic director of Gagarin 205 Live Music Space, one of the top venues in Athens, which hosts highly important gigs by both international and Greek artists. 

SAMIR LJUMA 

Acclaimed cinematographer and producer, who´s focus is on capturing human behavior, intimate relations and authentic interaction. He is one of the cinematographers of the double Oscar nominee feature documentary ‘Honeyland’, which won three main awards at the Sundance Film Festival. Samir is the winner of the American Society of Cinematographers Award for best Documentary cinematography, IMAGO Award, IDA Award, Cinema Eye Honors Award, Sundance Special Jury Award for Best Cinematography. 

GABRIELA BUSSMANN 

From 1995 to 2010, co-director of Visions du Réel, International Film Festival Nyon. 2012 Foundation of GoldenEggProduction in Geneva. She has produced films such as the multi-award-winning and EFA-nominated ‘Putin's Witnesses’ by Vitaly Mansky. She is committed to filmmakers who dare to take a new look beyond borders 

GREEK SHORT STORIES IN COMPETITION JURΥ

GEORGIS GRIGORAKIS (President) 

Georgis Gregorakis is a director and screenwriter who studied directing at the National Film School (NFTS) in England. His first feature film 'Digger' premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2020 and went on to win awards and praise at internationally acclaimed festivals and has a successful theatrical distribution around the world. 

ANTINOOS ALBANIS 

He was born in Athens. Graduated from the School of Art Theatre. He worked in the theatre with Kouyoumtzis, Karagiannopoulou, Moschos, Triantafyllis, Livathinos, Fassoulis, Kalogridis, Sarakatsanis, Evaggelatou, Kakleas, Spyratou, Baxevani, Mavrikio, Houvardas, Zoulias, Tarlou, Filippidis, Lalo, Paloumpis. In cinema and television he worked with Bafaloukas, Dimas, Tzitzis, Nikoleri, Koutelidakis, Kardaras, Manolis, Varelidis, Tselemego, Gikappeppa, Kokkinopoulos, Georgiou, Papadoulakis, Papakaliatis, Konstantinidis, Tsafoulias, Portokalakis. 

TAMILLA KULIEVA 

Tamila Kulieva studied at the Moscow Academic Art School and The Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK). Some of the people she has collaborated with is Vangelis Serdari, Dora Masklavanou, Stavros Tsiolis, Sonia Liza Kenterman and Grigoris Kanatinakis. She has taught at the National Theater Drama School, National Theater of Northern Greece and has received the golden metal of UNESCO for the Arts, Speech and Science. 

CHRISTINA LIAPI 

She has been working in the film industry for eleven years, holding positions at the Athens International Film Festival, 'CINEMA' magazine, the Athens Ethnographic Film Festival and the ODEON distribution company. Since 2016, she has been part of the Heretic team, initially in the international sales department and now in the production department.

 

ALEXANDROS PAPAGEORGIOU 

Alexandros Papageorgiou was born in 1988 in Thessaloniki, where he grew up. Since 2016, he has been writing professionally on issues of film criticism, television and mass culture. At the same time, he has been a speaker at a number of events around contemporary visual arts, is occasionally involved in translation and is involved in the programming of film festivals.
