Germaine Tillion à Ravensbrück
In 1943, French anthropologist and resistante Germaine Tillion was arrested by the Nazis and led to the Ravensbrück concentration camp outside Berlin. Ravensbrück was considered on the most brutal camps, but miraculously it didn’t break Tillion’s spirit; on the contrary, she went on to compose an operetta with many comic elements describing her fellow inmates' life. The operetta survived, as did Tillion herself, and premiered in the Theatre du Chatelet in 2007 to enthusiastic audiences. Featuring footage from the performance, as well as interviews with other survivors, "Germaine Tillion à Ravensbrück? is a compelling documentary on one of the darkest periods in human history.
