Wandering in her empty home, Anna begins to open one by one the boxes containing her memories. All those who left a deep impression on her life, all those who disappeared leaving lingering questions behind them ?be they parents, lovers or her daughters by three different fathers- mysteriously appear forcing Anna to question her choices and confide her deepest emotions. Actress Jane Birkin looks back and conducts her own search for lost time in a bittersweet autobiographical film reminiscent of Bergman’s Saraband. Boxes received a Special Out of Competition Screening at Cannes Film Festival.
