The life of the legendary Munich it-girl and groupie Uschi Obermaier couldn’t be anything else but a fascinating on-the-road love story set against the backdrop of late 60s Berlin. When her commune disintegrated, Obermaier rose to fame as pop starlet becoming the emblem of a whole generation. Always the rebel, she went down in history for her libertine love life ?which included an affair with Mick Jagger- until she met the love of her life. Their iconically romantic road trip together brought to the surface the clash between Obermaier’s free spirit and her partner’s romantic idealism. After his death, Obermaier was forced to pay the price for her independence ? which usually comes in the form of an overwhelming sense of loneliness.
