A working girl tears through Tinseltown on Christmas Eve searching for the pimp who broke her heart. Baker casts an affectionate look on big city outcasts in this kooky, much-talked about film that took the indie film scene by storm.

It is Christmas Eve when Sin-Dee, a transvestite who has just gotten out of a short stay in the “joint”, meets her best friend Alexandra. The latter leaks to her the word on the street, that while she was imprisoned, her boyfriend and pimp was cheating on her. Determined not to let him get away with it, Sin-Dee will drag her friend down the Los Angeles streets and the maniac hunt of the man who broke her heart.
The film, which stirred waves of enthusiasm in Sundance and was reviewed as one of the most important and most ground-breaking American films of the year, was filmed entirely on an iPhone 5s and with half the budget of that which Baker had for «Starlet». Authentically cinematic in its feeling and switching rapidly from comedy to drama and back, «Tangerine» is a very inventive, disarmingly tender and free of any sort of taboo, look in the world of transsexuals.
