After «Neil Young: Heart of Gold» in 2006 and «Neil Young Trunk Show» in 2009, Jonathan Demme completes his trilogy on the living legend of rock ‘n roll with "Neil Young Journeys". This time around, the third and final collaboration between the two men marks a significant homecoming for Young, whose touring schedule sees him return to Toronto, the city where he was born and bred. The film is a chronicle of a brilliant live performance, featuring such mainstays as "After the Gold Rush" all the way to the haunting sounds of "Ohio". Young’s return to his roots triggers a trip down memory lane for the great singer/songwriter, who gradually slips into the role of narrator as the tour bus approaches its destination. So poor yourselves a glass of something strong as you’re about to find yourselves in close quarters with a man baring his soul the best way he knows how: stories and songs. K.Th.
