Celeste and Jesse met in high school and got married young. They laugh at the same jokes, finish each other’s sentences and they never get bored. So what’s the problem? Apparently, they’ve decided to split up. In the incurably narcissistic city of Los Angeles, Lee Toland Krieger relies on disarming performances by Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg to depict the joy and the pain of relationships in a comedy that explores the possibility that the end might only be the beginning.
