The 18th Athens International Film Festival – Opening Nights COSMOTE supports the FUTURE SHORTS festival, organised by distributor Filmtrade, a series of interactive screenings featuring the best short films from around the world, complemented by live performances and a host of talented actors taking center stage in this year’s sidebar events. FEATURE SHORTS redefines the meaning of the word screening, courtesy of the people behind Secret Cinema, who have been building a faithful fanbase made up of young, active, adventurous film lovers since 2003. FUTURE SHORTS presents one single program of the best in short fiction, accompanied by live music, art happenings, DJs and interactive events. From London to Moscow and from Melbourne all the way to Jakarta, FUTURE SHORTS are hosted in a huge network of unexpected venues, ranging from theaters and galleries to dance clubs and warehouses, offering a refresh alternative to the traditional festival format.
