Kon-Tiki

This is the incredible journey of legendary explorer Thor Heyerdal, the anthropologist who crossed the Pacific on a balsawood raft with a set of primitive tools.

This is the incredible journey of legendary explorer Thor Heyerdal, the anthropologist who crossed the Pacific on a balsawood raft with a set of primitive tools in order to prove his (crazy, according to some) theory that the Polynesians originated in South America and must have therefore crossed the Pacific with minimal means.

His effort to reconstruct the journey from Peru to Polynesia was transformed into an impressive, hearty adventure by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, who masterfully balance the exotic locations and the arresting spectacle with their adventurous heroes’ fascinating personalities. Ch.L.

    Gloria

This unexpected movie treat by Chilean director Sebastián Lelio tells the story of a middle-aged divorcée who decides to take her life in her hands and, at the age of 58, take advantage of all the second chances she gets in life.

    Don Jon

    Don Jon

Don Jon (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a ?Jersey Shore? producer's wet dream: he's cute, beefed up, American to the bone and nurses a special appreciation for the opposite sex. He has so many conquests that his friends have taken to calling him ?Don Jon?. What they don't know is that he's addicted to porn.

    The Great Beauty

    The Great Beauty

Operatic in dimensions with definite references to Federico Fellini's ?La Dolce Vita?, Paolo Sorrentino's new film soars across the big screen as an authentic audiovisual delirium, a whirlwind of people, places and events in a vivid kaleidoscope of human behavior.

    Ain't Them Bodies Saints

    Ain't Them Bodies Saints

David Lowery's ethereal new effort, winner of the Best Cinematography Award at Sundance, is a cross between the untainted beauty of "Badlands" and the violent honesty of "Bonnie and Clyde".

    All is Lost

    All is Lost

Can a film with a cast of one, very little dialogue and the endless blue sea as its sole location keep you nailed to your seat for one hour and 45 minutes? The answer is yes, if it's directed by J.C. Chandor.
