Anna lives with her dog Manu in a small apartment. She firmly believes they will live together forever. When Manu dies, Anna asks her next door neighbors if she can bury her dog in their garden.

Their happy home becomes her refuge, as she slowly falls in love with the mother, her two children and their quiet lifestyle. The family, secure in its own happiness, has no use for her affections but Anna, schooled in loyalty by her beloved dog, does not give up easily.

That’s when September rolls around, a faded parenthesis between summer and winter, a symbolic month that represents Anna’s mental limitations and her willingness to put her love, her loyalty and her “otherness” to the test. Two of the best actresses of their generation, Kora Karvouni and Maria Skoula, meet in this tender dramedy.

    The Great Beauty

    The Great Beauty

Operatic in dimensions with definite references to Federico Fellini's ?La Dolce Vita?, Paolo Sorrentino's new film soars across the big screen as an authentic audiovisual delirium, a whirlwind of people, places and events in a vivid kaleidoscope of human behavior.

    Ain't Them Bodies Saints

    Ain't Them Bodies Saints

David Lowery's ethereal new effort, winner of the Best Cinematography Award at Sundance, is a cross between the untainted beauty of "Badlands" and the violent honesty of "Bonnie and Clyde".

    All is Lost

    All is Lost

Can a film with a cast of one, very little dialogue and the endless blue sea as its sole location keep you nailed to your seat for one hour and 45 minutes? The answer is yes, if it's directed by J.C. Chandor.
