Twister

Almereyda recruits HarryDean Stanton, Suzy Amis, Tim Robbins, Dylan McDermott and Jenny Wright to return to Kansas and its famous twisters 50 years after "The Wizard of Oz", introducing us to a different side of America.

"Twister" is Michael Almereyda's little known debut based on "Oh!", a short story by American minimalist author Mary Robinson, published in 1981.

With an atmosphere that alludes to the hypnotic pace of some of Robert Altman's most bizarre films, Almereyda recruits Harry Dean Stanton, Suzy Amis, Tim Robbins, Dylan McDermott and Jenny Wright to return to Kansas 50 years after "The Wizard of Oz", introducing us to a different side of America.

An oddball family are trapped in their farmhouse by an impending storm. Mysterious helicopters, inexplicable weather phenomena, kooky dialogues and even kookier performances, with an utterly bizarre turn by Crispin Glover and a sweet cameo by beatnik author William S. Burroughs in the most charmingly outrageous family movie ever made. The Boy
