Grace Is Gone

no Value for SXETIKA

Happily married to a US Army officer and father of two lovely girls, Stanley Phillips (arguably, John Cusack at his best) is the iconic proud-to-be-an-American dad. But when he sees his wife’s name on the long list of the Iraq War casualties, Stanley’s world comes crumbling down. Unable to deal with his grief, Stanley takes his daughters on a road trip that will force him to challenge his most fundamental beliefs. Selecting the controversial Iraq War as his subject matter, James C. Strouse weaves a melancholy indie drama, as well as a powerful anti-war movie. Grace Is Gone received the Audience Award at Sundance.
