Inni
Plain, frugal and covered with a monochromatic veil, “Inni”, though the complete opposite of the kaleidoscopic prism of “Heima” (2007) in terms of aesthetics, is the natural successor to the previous Sigur Rόs documentary. Claustrophobic but familiar at the same time, it invites the audience to direct contact with the band through images that commit to celluloid how the concerts are experienced by the fans and the band itself. The up-and-coming Vincent Morisset uses a 16mm camera and films in an experimental way, placing his camera behind prisms, even objects, and thus giving the film a retro, expressionistic tone. New and archival footage, that goes back to 1998, intertwine in a documentary revealing the progress, authenticity and influence of the Sigur Rόs phenomenon.
