The Laboratory Diaries: A Study on Human Adjustment - Focus on Yorgos Drivas

The selected works comprising "The Laboratory Diaries: A Study οn Human Adjustment" are chronologically located at the beginning and the end of the last decade of Yorgos Drivas' work and depict his journey from fine to video art and cinema.

George Drivas was born in Greece. His work was featured in a solo show at the National Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "(un-)documented" in 2009, as well as various group shows and festivals in Greece and abroad. He has won many awards and distinctions.

The selected works comprising "The Laboratory Diaries: A Study οn Human Adjustment" are chronologically located at the beginning and the end of the last decade of his work and depict his journey from fine to video art and cinema.

The films have been shot in four different cities and describe the quest for a language of abstraction in narrative imagery (whether moving or still), in terms of form, subject-matter and aesthetics.

His shorts illustrate the origins and the evolution of this continuing research, where he explores the narrative limits of the moving image. The Tribute is set include the world premiere of his new work "KEPLER".
