Ο καλλιτεχνικός της διευθυντής, Άνταμ Τσίμτσικ θα συζητήσει με το κοινό μετά την προβολή.

Documenta, the largest art exhibition in the world, was founded by the legendary art curator and architect, Arnold Bond, in 1955 in Kassel, Germany. The goal was to bring the country into the contemporary art’s forefront, repressing and banishing once and for all the cultural darkness caused by Nazism. It is about a particularly significant event, which occurs every five years and has a strong impact by putting the new art trends in a substantial dialogue with the society and the political scenery and by unveiling simultaneously the modern artistic flows.

In the light of this event, the festival will include in its program a rare documentary regarding the legendary Documenta 4 exhibition in 1968, the last one directed by Arnold Bond. It is a marvelous documentary about an exposition which took place in the aftermath of the political events of that year and generated a few of the most interesting and contradicting questions regarding modern art.

Artistic director Adam Szymczyk in attendance.
