Memories in the Mist - Kalpurush

Tired of his prosaic family life Sumanta seeks solace in memory: suddenly burying the hatchet with his father, with whom he has been estranged for years, becomes of paramount importance. His wish comes true thanks to a surreal chain of events, and father and son will experience a reunion that defies conventional understanding of space and time. Dasgupta delivers a poetic film on human anguish, as well as a caustic critique of middle-class Bengali life and world politics. Memories in the Mist was screened at the Toronto and Berlin Film Festivals.
