Love Live Long

While the (in)famous Gumball Rally (mainly involving a bunch a brats racing and misbehaving through various cities) is wreaking havoc in the streets of Istanbul, Rachel has decided she doesn’t want to live any more. Enter Darren, notorious playboy and Rally participant, who sweeps her off her feet and into a night of passion only to dump her the following morning. All of which would normally be enough to send the most mentally stable girl into a tearful fit, let alone Rachel. But no, upon waking up Rachel suddenly decides she’s in love and makes up her mind to pursue her beloved to the end of the world if she has to. Armed with a one-page script, a minimal crew and sparse technological means, 60-year-old Mike Figgis directs a rollercoaster boy meets girl story that was finished within a single week.
