The year is 1907 and Dr. Plonk, a not-so-mad scientist, discovers that the end of the world is closer than anticipated. However, convincing the political buffoons of his time is another matter altogether. His warnings dismissed as disaster talk and faced with the demand to present sold proof, Dr. Plonk invents a time machine hoping to provide evidence of the upcoming Armageddon.
