Two Friends / Les Deux Amis

28/9/2015, 21:45, Δαναός 1

Two 30something friends, one girl and a sizzling love triangle. In his film debut, French actor Louis Garrel, takes the lovely Golshifteh Farahani and Vincent Macaigne on a walk down nouvelle vague lane. In competition at Critic's Week in Cannes.

Actor Louis Garrel directorial debut, fresh off the Critic’s Week at this year’s Cannes, is a cross-section between Judd Appatow and nouvelle vague. Mona (Golshifteh Farahani) is a young prison inmate who checks out every morning to work at Gare du Nord, the famous train station in Paris. She has developed a close relationship with Vincent who works as a film extra, but when she decides to put some distance between them, he turns to his best friend Abel (Louis Garrel himself) for help. What starts out as a clash between three very different people, develops into a strange triangle, with Mona escorting them as a background artist on a film that takes place in 1968 Paris. Eventually she starts having feelings for Abel, which Vincent takes really badly, triggering a chain of incredible romantic vignettes, featuring the unexpected trio.
