Lefteris’ return to the island where he grew up in order to lead the search for a legendary shipwreck, reignites his teenage passion with Olga, a married pharmacist. However, a secret still casts a heavy shadow on their love, as Vicky, an attractive young woman who just got out of prison, tries to win Lefteris over.
Giorgos Panousopoulos delivers one of the most intense love stories of Greek cinema, a story which he forges under the Aegean summer sun before submerging it into the deep blue sea that knows how to keep watch over yesterday’s and today’s shipwrecks. Karyofyllia Karabeti, Valeria Christodoulidou and Alekos Sissovitis dive with minimum oxygen into a dead-born passion that develops like an ancient tragedy, suitably accompanied by Manos Hatzidakis’s modern music.
