The Athens International Film Festival - Opening Nights, is among the best festivals in Europe, according to the EFFE platform [Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe], for the period 2015-2016
The Athens International Film Festival – Opening Nights, is proud to announce its appointment as a member of the EFFE (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe), an online platform which was created by the EFA, the European Festivals Association.
After careful evaluation by an international committee, 761 Festivals out of 31 countries were selected to form the core of the first generation which will constitute the platform.
The EFFE is the online platform through which the audience, but also the field’s professionals, can discover the European Festivals, even participate in them. It is a new international festival landscape that connects all the fully dedicated to arts, societies and European values, festivals together.
The president of the European Festivals Association, Mr. Darko Brlek, said among other things: «I am very happy that the EFA provides its network for the development of this new platform, which is so strongly supported by the Festivals, bringing the audience to direct contact with its crowd. The EFFE made that possible by creating a unique festival community – a true gift to the European civilization and the limitless choices that the European festivals offer».
The European Festivals online guide for the period 2015 – 2016 will be available by the beginning of the summer.
