Paper Covers Rock
After a failed suicide attempt, Sam loses the custody of her 6-year-old daughter, is briefly admitted in a mental hospital and moves in with her older sister Ed, who tries to help her get her life back on track. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions and, indeed, Ed’s influence is anything but beneficial for Sam. Revolving around the themes of rehabilitation and reconciliation, Joe Maggio directs a moving low-budget, low-key drama on the small tragedies of daily life.
