Ali and her 8-year-old son's struggle for a better life, for a place they can finally call home, is ongoing due to a series of wrong decisions resulting in their having to start from scratch. The magnificent Imogen Poots stars in this film full of harsh visuals of the social realism experienced by outcasts of the American Dream. The film was well-received at the Director's Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. Director in attendance

Mobile Homes

Ali roams from motel to motel, along with her impulsive lover, Evan, and her 8-year-old son. Their dream of having their own home remains somewhat blurred in a cloud of substance abuse and an everyday life filled with drug smuggling, break-ins and illegal cockfighting.

British prominent actors Imogen Poots and Callum Turner star in a film that combines raw realism with dreamy scenes filled with underlying irony. As the anti-hero figures of the US-educated Vladimir de Fontenay roam incessantly against the icy setting of the USA-Canada borderline and seek hope in all the wrong ways, they epitomize the modern outcasts of the American Dream, and no matter how much they try to stay in the tracks, derailment seems to be the most likely outcome. Director in attendance
