Can you guess the surprise screening?

We may not be able to disclose the actual title or its cast and crew, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give you a few clues…

The surprise screening we have arranged on Sunday 23rd September at 22:30 at Odeon Opera 1 is one of the most exciting additions of this year’s line-up. These are some of the clues we can provide:

1) None of the actors is Greek, and they naturally all speak a foreign language (which one, though?)

2) It has been shot in a far-away, exotic country where one of the most horrendous political regimes was born

3) That same country is well known for a special mineral.

It is a special screening, an exclusive sneak preview which is featured out of the regular line-up of this year’s festival. It’s the feature-length debut of an important and much-promising Greek director, who has years of experience behind him, working in advertising and short films. His film is minimalistic, enigmatic and absolutely tied to the world in which it’s set, a different audiovisual approach to the existential drama and an original handling of a story you’ve never seen before.

The first reactions to the film have been downright enthusiastic and create an excellent buzz for its course as well as the future of its maker. See it first at the surprise screening on Sunday 23rd September at 22:30 at Odeon Opera 1.
