I’m Not There

If capturing the Bob Dylan legend on one single film is hard enough, then assigning the role of this ever-transforming of musicians to one single actor is simply impossible. Todd Haynes breaks with tradition and invites a diverse cast ranging from Richard Gere and Christian Bale to Heath Ledger and Cate Blanchett (yes, the Cate Blanchett) to bring to life the successive metamorphoses of Bob Dylan in a biography that defies all conventions of the genre. I’m Not There was presented at the Venice Film Festival.
