Blind

A blind young man lives alone with his mother in a stately country mansion. Hostile and outright aggressive to anyone trying to approach him, he can only seem to tolerate Marie, who suffers from albinism, a disease characterized by a lack of melanin pigment that leaves the skin extremely pale. Their curious understanding will soon develop into a unique relationship. In her first feature film Tamar van den Dop stages a subtle, fairy-tale like love story wrapping it in images of exquisite beauty, proving that such myths can only flourish away from Hollywood conventions.
