Parting Shot- Pas Douce

A small Swiss town near the border with France provides the setting for the story of Frédérique, a 24-year-old woman on the verge of a mental breakdown. Going through the motions at her day nursing job, Frédérique sees her relationship crumbling and herself giving in to loveless one-night stands. Crippled by an overwhelming sense of loneliness she picks up her rifle and heads to the woods to shoot herself, when her muddled state of mind leads her to turn her gun against an innocent target. Jeanne Waltz directs a tight and suspenseful drama featuring a compelling performance be Isild Le Besco as Frédérique. The film was presented in the International Forum of New Cinema of the Berlin Film Festival.
