Social satire, splatter movie and teen comedy rolled into one, Teeth begins with a comic take on vagina dentata myth (that’s ‘toothed vagina’ for those who missed Latin at school) to end up as a classic female revenge tale ? with a bite to it. The movie’s victim (or perpetrator) is the young and seriously devout Dawn. When she finally decides to break her vow of chastity, Dawn realizes the full potential of her unique physiology and embarks on a series of accidental (?) castrations. Marrying sheer camp-ness with tongue-in-cheek humor and a good deal of suspense, Teeth is guaranteed to have you roaring with laughter ? as well as leave more than one male members of the audience slightly disconcerted.
