The Tune

It’s bad enough that songwriter Del is suffering from a creator’s block, now he’s given only 47 minutes to compose a hit tune on the pains of losing both his job and his girlfriend. On his way to submit the unfinished song, Dale takes a wrong turn and finds himself in the Wonderland of Flooby Nooby, a bizarre agricultural community whose wacky characters ?including a canine Elvis impersonator- will teach him to write songs from the heart. Featuring 10 songs in different styles, ranging from hip hop to the blues, Bill Plympton’s first feature film was selected for the Competition section of the 1992 Sundance Film Festival.
